Zübde-i Alem Poetry Competition Awarding Ceremony
Our school experienced a great enthusiasm with an event in which students showed their talents in the field of art and literature. This year's theme for the Zübde-i Alem poetry competition was 'Istanbul'. The competition was organized by the Middle School's Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The awarding ceremony of the competition was opened with a dramatic poetry recital with the audience of the school community.
The recital's decor and drama were built on "Seven Hills of Istanbul, Yedi Güzel Adam (Seven Good Men), and Seven Scenes." Each scene is built upon a different state of emotions and theme. The students' stage performances took the audience on an emotional journey. Each stage had a unique atmosphere that stirred the senses of the audience.
In the show, where the poems of many Sufis and poets, including Fatih Sultan Mehmet, the Yedi Güzel Adam scenery made its mark on the audience.
A statement that resonated during the recital was, "Love is not complete without Quds and Istanbul." The students, through emotionally charged poems inspired by Quds, emphasized the universality and power of a spirit of resistance.
