Parent Workshop - Journey To The World Of Adolescents

In our parent workshop, “Journey to the World of Adolescents,” parents were given the opportunity to hear from the experts. The seminar delved deeper into this special stage of life, explaining how to understand their world and identities, and discussing strategies for coping with the difficulties encountered during this period of their lives.
The speeches made it clear that adolescence is not only a physical change but also an emotional, social, and mental development. In an activity aimed at better understanding the roles and emotional experiences of parents, participants were asked to choose objects that represented the adolescent process and parenting experiences. Meaningful exchanges made through these objects formed an important basis for understanding parent-child relationships in depth and evaluating this process from a positive point of view.
Participants learned how to approach adolescents' emotions with empathy, develop solution-oriented strategies in the face of conflicts, and use constructive language in communication. In addition, they gained information on approaches that support secure attachment in the parent-child relationship.
The workshop enhanced experience sharing between the participants, encouraging them to view adolescence as an opportunity rather than a challenge. While the program was enriched with the active participation of parents and sincere sharing, it provided important insights into the adolescent period.
