Turkuvaz Media Group Visit
Our grade 1 students organized a unit trip to Turkuaz Media within the scope of the main idea of "People use writing and drawings to understand and explain themselves and their environment."
Our students learned about the functioning of the media and press world and how children's magazines are prepared. The editor-in-chief explained how children's magazines are planned, the process of selecting content, and how topics that will attract children's interest are determined. Our students had the chance to follow this process closely by learning step by step how texts and drawings are put together and magazines are created.
This trip encouraged students to use different communication tools to understand and explain themselves and their surroundings. Our students, who have become aware of media literacy, have once again experienced the importance of communicating and expressing their thoughts effectively.
