Second victory at TEKNOFEST
Our students achieved another great success at the TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL Aerospace and Technology Festival held between September 20-23. Our school, which was the only high school that achieved a success in both categories applied, was specially congratulated by the competition juries.
In the unmanned underwater vehicle competition which was applied by 129 teams, 5 teams qualified for the final. Our team was one of the 6 teams completed the mission among15 teams that qualified for the final by passing the insulation and leakage test. One of the architects of this success, NUN Culture and Technology Team consultant technology-design teacher Eftal Inan, stated that the entire team consists of female students and they are so proud. Stating that the students have established this team on their own, Inan added the following information about the design process of the vehicle: “We got in contact with the manufacturer of the glass containers for nuts and requested them to produce a leak-proof container. We produced all our parts from domestic materials with the exception of the engine. Some of the parts were 3D designs of our students.” We congratulate our team for making this pride in us. We hope that their success will continue.
We would like to express our special thanks to especially our guidance teacher Eftal İnan, and the valuable members of the team, Yılmaz, Zeynep Sare Öztürk, Ayça Pelin Şahin, Elanur Turan, Ayşe Sena Koçak, Serra Balkan and Sümeyya Kır who have achieved this success.
