The Palace Collections Museum Visit

To enrich classroom learning with real‑life learning experiences supporting holistic development, our grade 1 students visited the Palace Collections Museum as part of the “Where We are in Time and Place” theme. Through historical artifacts, royal garments, and everyday objects, students explored how life in the past differed from today.
The museum’s education unit provided a guided tour and interactive activities designed to strengthen students’ observation skills. These experiences supported visual attention, curiosity, and inquiry, while helping them analyze how objects evolve. Observing history in its authentic setting fostered early awareness of the importance of preserving cultural values.
The program aimed to introduce students to museum culture and instill a sense of belonging toward historical heritage, while nurturing their aesthetic perception and allowing them to imagine past lifestyles through their own.
