A Deeper Look into Parenthood through Art Parent Workshop
NÛN Middle School PCG Department organized a parent workshop titled "A Deeper Look into Parenthood through Art". This workshop, which was held with the intensive participation of our parents, enabled the parents the objectify parenting using art as a tool.
During the workshop, each parent objectified their parenting style with a clay sculpture. The parents, who expressed important concepts such as flexibility, understanding and sensitivity to the needs of the child with clay, experienced both a creative and emotional experience during this process. Following this session, they conducted an in-depth discussion about alternatives to building an emotionally supportive and healthy relationship.
This event supported parents to take some time to focus on their parenting styles, build a healthy relationship, and gain awareness of supporting the emotional needs of a family. With the topics discussed in the workshop, it was aimed that our parents would establish a conscious and caring relationship with their children.
