PCG Parent Workshop - Emotional Regulation Strategies
There are no inherently good or bad emotions, only those that make us feel positive or negative. The first step of being an adult is to gain emotional regulation skills, which are strongly related to recognizing and controlling not only challenging emotions but also positive feelings. To help children cope with challenging emotions, it is crucial for parents to first learn how to manage their own feelings. For this reason, the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit of NÛN Schools held a parent workshop titled “Helping Children to Regulate Their Emotions”.
This workshop aimed to raise parents’ awareness about understanding their children’s emotions and supporting them while opening an opportunity to observe the relationship between a healthy emotional environment and its contributions to the emotional development of children.
