Middle School | Parent-Teacher Conference
The recent Parent-Teacher Conference at NUN Middle School, held last weekend, was uniquely designed as a hands-on training session for parents. This conference brought teachers and parents together to experience a day in an IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) school firsthand, focusing on its core learning objectives and required skills. Parents were also given a short tour to familiarize themselves with the classrooms and facilities across the campus.
The meeting saw high participation and featured a productive flow of content. During the first session, parents of Grade 5 and newly enrolled students participated in a dedicated MYP Workshop, while parents of Grade 8 students attended a High School Transition Presentation. Following this, our School Principal, Fatma Gedik, addressed all parents on the school's daily operations, offering a comprehensive talk on the vision and educational approach of our foundation, which concluded with a valuable Q&A session. After the general meeting, parents attended specific branch and level meetings held in classrooms, where they had the chance to meet all their child's teachers.
The entire event provided a vital sharing environment that strengthened communication between parents and the school, shedding light on the goals and directives of the new semester. Parents gained comprehensive awareness of school programs and learning processes while learning about practices that directly support students' academic and social development.
