NUN MEETINGS
The guest of the nun meetings was prof. Dr. Mehmet emin birpinar, deputy minister of the ministry of environment, urbanisation and climate change.
Birpınar talked about the "Global Problem Climate Crisis", which is very important for us to better understand the effects of climate change in the world and our country, at the event that took place with the participation of our high school and 8th grade students. He said that raising awareness about climate change is very significant and we need to plan how we will adapt to this situation and what measures we will take. Birpınar stated that countries that make risk analysis will suffer less, and those who cannot manage crisis will have a hard time. He also added that “Climate change is not just an environmental issue, it is a matter of development, security, economy, agriculture, food, livestock, tourism, trade, migration, transportation, communication, energy, natural assets, water, health, local governments. It is a matter of adaptation and it is essential.” Noting that important measures have been taken in our country, Birpınar also answered the questions of our students.
