Bridging the Hearts
“Gönül Köprüsü (Bridging the Hearts): Valuable Stories of Life” project is an initiative on the nursing home visit of grade 11 students. The project was carried out to encourage integration and increase mutual understanding and empathy between younger generations. Within the scope of the project, our students visited nursing homes.
Students will be inspired by the experiences of older individuals, create memories with them, and have a project experience that draws strength from this interaction. They created memories together within an effective project experience and took strength from this interaction.
At the same time, they visited the hospice’s soap, candle, marbling, and personal care workshops only to learn that each resident has a different ability. Students also received an invitation for a poetry recital and mini theater performance to be showcased soon.
