“Ezber Bozan Çocuklar” Young Authors Workshop 2
In collaboration with the Social Studies and Turkish Language departments of NÛN Middle School, the second session of the “Ezber Bozan Çocuklar - Young Authors Workshop” was held for grade 6 students. As part of the upcoming publication of the book Boundary‑Breakers – Founders of Institutions, students’ previously written texts underwent a detailed technical review.
The pieces were evaluated with care for content coherence, language accuracy, and richness of expression. The project aimed to strengthen students’ abilities in self‑reflection, text editing, and using the aesthetic possibilities of language. Emphasis was placed on the idea that authorship is not merely producing a text but a journey of conveying a thought in its most effective form.
Reflections on how philanthropic foundations emerge from an initial idea and transform into social benefit further reinforced students’ sense of social responsibility. The workshop helped them translate creative writing techniques into a professional outcome and introduced them to the inner workings of preparing a book for publication.
