Sketching Workshop

In our charcoal sketching workshop that we organized for our high school parents, the participants drew the landscapes of cities such as Istanbul, Bursa, and Edirne with a charcoal pencil shading technique, taking the architectural drawings by Ord. Prof. A. Süheyl Ünver had made through on-site observation in the cities he visited, as their references. Our parents learned basic design techniques such as line, light, shading, and transferring images to paper using ratio-proportion and measurement and observed the little details found in a whole.

This sketching workshop was an opportunity for the participants to not only improve their artistic skills but also to strengthen their skills of social interaction and cooperation. During the workshop, they came together and had the opportunity to exchange ideas, work together, and make efforts in line with a common goal. This way, they strengthened their social relations while improving social skills such as teamwork and solidarity.
