World Dısabled Week Hall Program
World Disabled Week is celebrated between May 10-16, in which attention is drawn to the fact that people with disabilities in the world can participate in life just like everyone else. Disabled people feel happier and safer when they are intertwined with society. When they have a career, they are proud of themselves as their families would do. They also contribute to society and themselves with the income they earn. Within the scope of the World Disabled People, NUN Middle School students got together with the National Paralympic Swimmer Champions and national swimming coach for the para-athletes. In this way, students were helped to gain awareness about disability and develop empathy. Students acquired skills such as learning about the experiences of disabled people, developing an understanding of different types of disabilities and respecting differences.
