Handmade Paper Workshop Trip

The Foreign Languages Department of our school organized a Handmade Paper Workshop Trip for our grade 5 students. This way they enhanced their learning by testing their knowledge and skills outside the classroom environment.
During the workshop, our students learned about the history of paper and its importance in Turkish culture. Our students got acquainted with paper making, which is an ancient art, and had the opportunity to produce their own papers using their crafting skills as well as gaining experience in a craft.
Shedding light on the principles of sustainability, the trip also offered our students to gain environmental awareness and connect their existing knowledge on the principles of sustainable living. By witnessing the recycled materials used for paper making, our students also increased their awareness of waste utilization and environmental protection.
