Beykoz Glass and Crystal Museum Visit

The Foreign Languages Department organized a trip to Beykoz Glass and Crystal Museum to help our students develop an in-depth understanding of the field of art and culture in parallel with the studies conducted in the courses within the framework of the theme of “Art and Culture.” During this valuable visit, students explored the unique craftsmanship of glass and the collections the museum hosts, they found a chance to observe the ancient and modern techniques of shaping glass and its use as well as interpretation in different cultures through the works exhibited by the museum. Together with the rich and colorful history of Turkish glass art, they were able to trace the European glass. They also had the chance to see various works in the museum’s collection and observed different forms of art. Experiencing such a rich cultural heritage during the trip contributed to their personal development and the expansion of their perspectives.
