BALAT-EYÜP TRIP
BALAT-EYÜP TRIP
Visiting Istanbul, which is the meeting point of Eastern and Western civilizations, is significant in terms of learning cultural values. To this end, Istanbul Patriarchate, the center of the Greek Orthodox Church, was visited and information was given about Balat and its surroundings, and our students were informed about the adventure of Christianity in Anatolia. The second stop of our trip on the streets of Balat was the Private Greek High School. Our students enjoyed watching the high school's flamboyant building and its unique view and had their photos taken. Afterwards, the offices of Jabir ibn Abd Allah and Abu Dharr al-Ghifari were visited in turn. In the continuation of our tour, they went to Eyüp and gave information about the Defterdar Mahmut Pasha Mosque. Eyüp Sultan, the most important place of visit of Eyüp and after whom the district is named, was visited. After this visit, they embarked on a difficult journey towards İdris Köşkü Tepesi. From there, Kaşgari Tekkesi was visited and information was provided about Abdulhakim Arvasi, who was also the teacher of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek.
