Astronun Observation Festival
The aim of AstroNUN can be summarized as providing our students with scientific thinking skills, emphasizing and making them understand the importance of having the courage to know the universe and its components in every aspect, giving them the ability to use their physics and mathematics knowledge in the face of concrete events, and enabling them to know technological innovations related to space sciences. With the contributions of the guidance unit, NUN Middle School 6th grade students attended the film screening as part of the AstroNUN Observation Festival. Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar system, was observed under the leadership of Astronomy and Science teachers with telescopes at the NUN Schools Observatory. NUN Middle School students consolidated the knowledge they had acquired in the Astronomy classes they had taken throughout the year at this observation night. Thanks to astronomy, which is the oldest of the sciences, students gained the skill of "scientific thinking" by using all these mental processes and came to a level where they could make inferences about the universe.
