NÛN Schools hosted Sevil Civelek to reinforce the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge of grade 10 students, within the theme "Moral Attitudes and Behaviors." Addressing students with a speech titled "Orientation to Pleasure and Self Discipline," Ms. Civelek gave comprehensive information about the functioning of the limbic system of the brain, namely the pleasure center and the frontal lobe, namely the reasoning center.
During the event, Civelek explained in detail how our impulses are triggered and the values that intelligent behavior and willpower training bring to our brain, physiology, and life. Students learned about how brain processes pleasure-oriented behaviors, and made connections to the importance of will training. Civelek's scientific and impressive presentation offered students the opportunity to consolidate theoretical knowledge with concrete examples.
