Within the theme of "How We Organize Ourselves," a learning process was carried out with 1st-grade students supporting the central idea that "Social needs affect the formation and development of systems. The trip has been planned for two distinct places where they can experience real-life scenarios.
Students first visited the Beykoz Fire Station, where they were introduced to the duties of starting from duties of firefighters, how they were informed on a fire and what procudures they apply for different cases and the equipment they use, In an activity conducted on a fire model, students had the opportunity to step into the role of firefighters.
Next, they visited Karlıtepe Mosque. Students had the opportunity to closely examine key architectural elements of the mosque, including the mihrab, minber, muezzin’s gallery (mahfil), and the sermon pulpit (kur'su), gaining firsthand insights into the order and functioning of places of worship. A brief prayer session led by the mosque’s Imam helped students understand how mosques are structured to meet various social needs. By visiting the library located within the minaret, students observed how mosques serve various social functions beyond worship.
