Turkish Language Day and Poetry Night Program

The Turkish Language Day was observed with our "Second Annual Poetry Night," featuring performances by our high school students. This year's theme was "Independence," encompassing diverse themes ranging from the ancient Ergenekon Saga to the contemporary issue of the Syrian Saydnaya Prison.
Theatrical poetry dramas, prepared by students under the guidance of their teachers, received great appreciation from the audience. This event provided a meaningful occasion for our students to develop their emotional, critical thinking, and expressive skills, while also strengthening their historical and social memory.
The program emphasized the vital role of the Turkish language in unifying society, drawing attention to the richness, importance, and cultural depth of our language. To prepare for this special day, our students examined literary texts from a multidimensional perspective and adapted them for the stage, reinforcing their national identity consciousness and love for the language. The Turkish Language Day and the unifying power of poetry were truly celebrated.
