Healing Kitchen Parent Workshop
The Noble Qur'an says, "We are sending down something from the Qur'an that is a healing and a mercy for the believers, and it only increases the loss of the wrongdoers." (Surat Al-Isra, 82).
It is not a coincidence that some foods are mentioned in the Holy Quran among many foods. Surely, these foods must be very beneficial for human beings, because they are the only ones mentioned among the many vegetables and fruits found on earth. How are these nutrients mentioned in the Qur'an? What is the possible reason why it is mentioned and its wisdom? How can we use these foods in recipes?
In the workshop, conversations were held about the nutrients specifically mentioned in the Quran, and the benefits of these nutrients for human health were discussed. In addition, workshop participants learned practical recipes about these foods and how to include these important nutrients in their daily lives with healthy meals they could prepare at home.
Thanks to the workshop, parents learned about the positive effects of foods specifically mentioned in the Holy Quran on health and discovered how to make healthy recipes using these foods. The workshop has inspired our parents to make healthy meals together with their children at home and contributed to their knowledge on this issue.
