PCG Parent Workshop: Peer Bullying and Coping Strategies
Peer bullying is a rising concern, impacting children around the world, including our own country. This issue undoubtedly worries families and teachers alike. Bullying is a serious problem that threatens the physical and emotional wellbeing of a child, often result in observed decrease in the academic success rate, damaged self-confidence and may channel into social isolation and loneliness. This is an important issue that directly affects the future of our children and our social health. As an educational institution dedicated to our children's well-being, we at NÛN Schools take a proactive approach. We consistently raise awareness about bullying, empower students to stand up against it, and integrate it into our curriculum to create a school-wide understanding. Our ultimate goal is to create a safe and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. In line with these efforts, the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit hosted a workshop titled "Peer Bullying and Coping Strategies."
This informative workshop increased parents' awareness about peer bullying and equip them with strategies on how they can talk about this issue with their children and ways to support them. Through interactive activities, parents had the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and gain valuable knowledge on how to support their children.
