NÛN Meetings – Beyond the Visible: A Cinematic Journey with Majid Majidi
As part of NÛN Meetings program, we hosted distinguished filmmaker, director and screenwriter Majid Majidi on our campus. Known for his globally acclaimed work, Majidi engaged with students through an inspiring talk and Q&A session.
Sharing his experiences in cinema, aesthetics, and storytelling, Majid Majidi—best known for his Oscar-nominated film Children of Heaven and as the only director in film history to have received the Grand Prix at the Montreal World Film Festival three times—engaged students in a compelling and insightful conversation. Sharing his experiences in cinema, storytelling, and aesthetics, the director emphasized the power of art as a universal language that touches the human spirit beyond what is visible.
This encounter allowed students to examine artistic processes from an international perspective, enriching their cultural awareness and deepening their understanding of storytelling as a meaningful form of expression.
