Turkish Red Crescent Presentation

During Kızılay Week, representatives informed students about humanitarian aid and disaster preparedness. Students learned correct behaviors during and after earthquakes and observed a sample tent setup, gaining practical knowledge about emergency shelters.
The representatives shared examples of the disaster relief carried out both in and outside our country by the Turkish Red Crescent. This program strengthened awareness of humanitarian responsibility and global solidarity.
The representatives installed a sample tent on the stage, giving students the opportunity to examine its interior as well as the structure and functioning of temporary shelter areas created during disasters. This hands-on experience allowed them to observe living conditions in times of crisis.
It was emphasized that the event made an important contribution to students’ disaster awareness, understanding humanitarian aid processes, learning the correct behaviors to apply in emergencies, and developing a strong sense of social responsibility.
