Edebiyat Güvercini: Recipes With Stories
NÛN Primary School students dedicated this issue of their "Edebiyat Güvercini" magazine to the theme of "family." For the "Recipes with Stories" corner, students engaged in a hands-on activity, putting their efforts into the kitchen.
They meticulously planned and managed every step, from preparing a shopping list to chopping ingredients, cooking, and ensuring timely completion. This practical work, which had a direct connection to real life, went beyond just creating a recipe. It beautifully reminded us of the meaning of producing, sharing, and gathering around the same table.
Overall, this event not only allowed our students to improve their written expression skills but also fostered multifaceted achievements such as planning, cooperation, taking responsibility, and aesthetic presentation. It also enabled them to internalize their feelings, thoughts, and experiences about the concept of "family," strengthen their social-emotional ties, and forge a clear link between a concrete production process and narrative creation.
