We are in the Top 10 among the Best Educational Applications in the World!
We are in the Top 10 among the Best Educational Applications in the World!

Our school ranked in the top 10 and qualified for the finals of Start Luma 2020, an international competition participated by 36 countries around the world with their educational projects and applications.
Our school has made it to the top 10 in the educational applications field in Start Luma 2020, which is organized in Finland, under the leadership of the University of Helsinki, in cooperation with 13 other universities and participated by 36 countries from around the world with the educational projects and applications.
The education application “Where Will We Use It?" by our Science Teacher, Ferdi Ünal, which encourages project-based learning and active cooperation for middle school students, ranked among the “Top 10 Education Applications in the World” as a result of the final evaluation made by the international jury. Ünal said, “The best thing that made my students happy when through the curriculum was to design environments in which they would internalize the roles given to them in the workshop lesson.” He added, "So, I started with the question “Where will we use all things we learn?” which is asked by the students quite often. I started on a journey 3 years ago with the idea that an education system that cannot answer this question will not do well for the learning of a student. My goal in this journey was to write a workshop curriculum that would be compatible with the curriculum we applied at school but enriched with applied practices and stories. In educational environments enriched with the support of decorative components, I offer students an environment where they can develop their life skills and feel the unifying power of science, art and history. I see that every new thing students learn in this environment is more permanent in their minds.”

The final of the competition will be in June and the projects to be selected as top 3 by the Jury will be awarded with a trip to Finland and attend the award ceremony at the premiere night of the International Start Luma competition.
