Sakip Sabanci Museum Visit

Our 8th-grade students participated in an enriching learning experience that brought the concepts they learned in the classroom to a real-life observation during their visit to the Sabancı Museum. Students explored art and its disciplinary foundations within the dynamic setting of a museum. Students closely examined works from the museum’s collection, making observations about different artistic periods, techniques, and styles.
Guided tours and in-depth discussions broadened their understanding of cultural heritage, historical development, and the evolution of artistic perspectives across eras.
By the end of the trip, participants not only gained first-hand experience in analyzing artworks on-site, but also enhanced their ability to distinguish between various period styles and further developed their observation skills. Overall, this activity provided our students with a well-rounded educational experience, deepening their appreciation for both the artistic and cultural aspects of our shared heritage.
