Anadolu’NÛN Day Event

The Anadolu'NÛN Günü (Anatolia’s Day) event, organized by the Middle School Social Studies Department for 5th and 6th-grade students, provided a rich learning environment with various cultural practices. The event began in the morning with the Anatolian folk songs and dancing during recess. The lunch menu was selected from regional cuisine for the event.
For the rest of the day, the 5th-grade students presented activities such as storytelling and traditional handicrafts, and the chorus gave a concert to the 6th-grade students who attended as guests. These activities were enriched with cultural elements, workshops, which supported interaction among students. The event, which prioritized cooperation and solidarity, showcased a multifaceted cultural experience belonging to Anatolia.
The event provided students with valuable outcomes, including developing cultural heritage consciousness, sharing information through peer learning, taking responsibility, gaining expressive skills within a community, participating in production processes, and collaborating. Anatolia’s Day concluded as a productive learning experience that strengthened both cultural awareness and the culture of collective production within the middle school community.
