Interview with Bahtiyar İstekli “Adventures of a Sahaf”

Within the scope of the 60th Library Week celebrations, our grade 9 students came together with Mr. Bahtiyar İstekli, who is a sahaf himself and had a pleasant conversation under the title of “From a Book to a Library”. The topics included loving books, the value of old books, the importance of libraries, and the history of librarianship from the past to the present.
Sahaf Bahtiyar İstekli gave information about his job, being a sahaf, to the students and emphasized that books are not just objects to be read.
Thanks to the interview organized with the aim of increasing their interest in books and libraries, students realized that books are not only a source of information but also a treasure that bridges the past.
