Green Crescent (Yeşilay)

As part of Green Crescent Week, a study visit was organized to the Green Crescent Society to enhance students’ awareness of social responsibility and introduce healthy living from a historical perspective. Conducted with the participation of Student Council members, the program included in‑depth sessions on Yeşilay’s mission and its strategies for combating addiction.
In its cultural dimension, students explored Sepetçiler Pavilion, the historic headquarters of the organization, learning about its architectural heritage and restoration process. Supported by educational simulations and on‑site observation, the visit aimed to help students internalize healthy living habits and grow into informed individuals capable of raising awareness among peers.
Blending national heritage with social responsibility, this experience strengthened students’ leadership competencies and their ability to approach social issues through scientific and ethical perspectives.
