Writing Club Workshop

Students from the Writing Club gathered for a special workshop designed to develop fictional text construction and authorship skills. Focusing on the relationship between imagination and concrete reality, the workshop explored the role of objects as narrative voices.
Guided by teachers, students examined physical materials and responded to the prompt: “If this object could speak, how would it describe the last moment it witnessed?” Without naming the object directly, students created mysterious introductions and unique backstories—initiating analytical inference among peers.
As the first step of a five‑week writing journey, the workshop will continue through interdisciplinary sessions led by the Turkish Department, strengthening students’ observation, metaphorical thinking, and creative writing skills.
