We Finished Third Place In Teknofest
We Finished Third Place In Teknofest
Our school won the third place in TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL Aviation, Space and Technology Festival finals in the category of “Unmanned Underwater Systems”. Our “Hydrotechrov Team” of 8 girls took part in the finals last year.

Our school participated in TEKNOFEST ISTANBUL Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, held between 17-22 September, with two different teams; in Unmanned Underwater Systems and Robotic Conquest 1453 categories. Hydrotechrov Team, competing in the Unmanned Underwater Systems category, took part in the finals last year. The team, consisting of eight girl students from 9th grade, succeeded to stand out from 236 teams and finished third. Of the 19 high school teams who finished the finals, our team scored high in all rating categories and experienced the excitement and happiness when the results were announced.
Our design and technology teacher Eftal İNAN, consultant of NUN technology teams, said, “As NUN technology teams, we were expecting to receive an award in our second year. This year we ranked third in unmanned underwater systems. I believe that next year we will participate in finals in more categories and get better grades. National technology move has increased the excitement of our youth. Without losing this excitement, we will walk deeper, higher and towards a more beautiful future with our students.”

Member of the NUN Eğitim ve Kültür Foundation, Board of Directors Dr. Tamer Yilmaz said, “Our students have been working hard for this project for two years. We were very happy that they their efforts were recompensated in this year’s finals. Apart from our high school teams competing in two different categories, the youngest entrepreneur award received by our 5th grader Ahmet Yiğit Başoğlu, who participated in TEKNOFEST İSTANBUL as an individual this year, made us proud. Inspired by the Soma mine disaster, he designed a miner’s life-suit and showed the caring attitude of NUN Schools students. We will continue to provide our students with all the support we can to ensure their interest in technology and to continue to grow.”
