Süleymaniye Mosque Visit
A trip to the “Süleymaniye Mosque and Complex” was organized in order for our students to visit this selâtin mosque to learn about the internal parts of the mosque and to practice prayers. They completed the activities inside the mosque in the travel booklet by getting to know the places in the mosque, the parts of the social complex, and its architectural structure. During the trip, we listened to Yahya Kemal Beyatlı's poem titled Süleymaniye'de Bayram Sabahı (Feast Morning at Süleymaniye) to discover how religion affects our literature. Students were also taught Sinan the Architect, as he is the architect of Süleymaniye Mosque. The trip ended after we visited the tombs of Suleyman the Magnificent and Sinan the Architect.
