Where Word and Silence Meet: Rami Library Visit

For their NÛN 101 course, students visited Rami Library for a culture‑focused learning experience. The program opened with a guided session delivered in situ, linking course concepts with the library’s unique atmosphere where knowledge meets history.
Students explored the library’s historic architecture and extensive study areas; visited the manuscripts section, the Nuri Arlasez exhibition, restoration workshops, and collections of the Atatürk Research Library—observing first‑hand how cultural heritage is preserved. They also toured the Biomimetics Museum, learning about nature‑inspired design and scientific practice.
Experiencing how a modern library operates, students enriched their cultural understanding in a space that connects past and future. The trip concluded with a reflection-writing activity that further fueled inquiry and research.
