Serbest Kürsü (Open Forum)

Through Open Forum sessions, middle school students shared their knowledge, interests, and research across a wide range of topics, from media literacy to personal development and creative production. The sessions combined both structured presentations and hands-on workshops, encouraging peer learning, active participation, and practical engagement.
As part of the program, Grade 8 students Ali Sacid and Muhammed Emin delivered a presentation titled “Perception Engineering,” where they examined the social impact of mass media and emphasized the importance of conscious media use and media literacy. Their work contributed to developing a critical awareness of how the media influences individual and social behavior. Grade 6 student Ali Kerem presented on “Making Healthy Decisions,” sharing methods for rational and balanced decision-making in daily life. His presentation supported awareness of personal responsibility and thoughtful choice-making processes. In another presentation based on innovation projects, Grade 8 students Zehra and Zeyneb Asya explored the role of spirituality and mental balance in stress management.
Workshops focusing on personal interests and manual skills provided opportunities for experiential learning. Grade 7 student Ecrin Deniz demonstrated the technical stages of creating beaded star key chains, while Esma and Süveybe showcased the steps for coloring glass bottles. Grade 8 students Nesibe İnşirah and Ayşe Zehra led a bracelet design workshop. Students guided their peers through the process, supporting the development of fine motor skills and creative thinking.
These sessions provided a meaningful platform for students to develop public speaking, analytical thinking, and knowledge-sharing skills, contributing to both their academic and personal growth.
