Our PDR Department Leader Gökhan Ergür Received an Award in "Essay" Category

Writers Union of Turkey held its 11th Literature Festival and Our school Counseling Department Leader Gökhan Ergür received Grand Prize in Essay Category .

Gürlek received his award from Writers Union of Turkey Istanbul Branch President Mahmut Bıyıklı and author Dursun Erkin. Receiving his award he said: "In one aspect, literature is the art of digging trenches. In this trench you dig, you endeavor to continue your struggle against the world with your own rhetoric. The subject of this struggle may be social reality, existential dilemmas, political discourses, expressing the perfection of creation. I can say that my aim is to enlighten the darkness that surrounds our world day by day, to see the good and the beauty as I learned from my elders and to mark it with writing. If I can resist this darkness as much as a candle flame, this is the greatest reward for me." As NUN Schools, we congratulate Gökhan Ergür and wish him continued success.
