NÛN Parliament

Organized by the Middle School Social Studies Department, this year’s NUN Parliament focused on the theme of “Fashion.” The program began with a video exploring the school community’s perception of fashion, followed by an opening speech by the parliament president.
Grade 7 students presented on fashion in language, arts, sports, and clothing, examining the concept beyond its surface appearance. Presentations included discussions on fashion’s relationship with colonial and cultural dynamics, supported by examples. The session deepened through questions posed by student press members and concluded with a general evaluation.
Ending with a video on decolonization in education, the activity significantly contributed to students’ critical thinking and analytical reflection on social issues.
