Experiencing Ramadan Together at NÛN Schools

The Ramadan Program at NÛN Schools was met with great enthusiasm and wide participation from students, parents, teachers, and staff, who came together to share the peaceful and meaningful atmosphere of the blessed month. This now‑traditional annual gathering created a warm environment in which participants strengthened their social bonds by coming together around shared iftar tables and experiencing the blessings of togetherness.
The activities prepared as part of the program served as a bridge between past and present, carrying the rich cultural heritage of Ramadan into contemporary life. Making full use of the campus’s spacious grounds, the event featured joyful Ramadan‑themed activities, traditional treats, stage performances, and thematic workshops. While older generations experienced moments of nostalgia through Karagöz and Hacivat shadow theatre performances and familiar traditional flavors, younger students were introduced to the long‑standing traditions of Ramadan in an engaging and accessible way. Enriched with traditional Ramadan delicacies and special musical performances held across the event areas, the program became an unforgettable experience for guests.
These moments offered students meaningful opportunities to experience moral and spiritual values in a living, shared context. Throughout the program, particular emphasis was placed on social responsibility, sharing, and solidarity. Students were encouraged to carry virtues such as cooperation, generosity, and tolerance into their daily lives. Through programs such as this, NÛN Schools integrates cultural and religious values into education as a lived experience, continuing to educate future generations as socially aware, sensitive, and value‑driven individuals.
