Day Filled With Music
Our elementary school students had a joyous time with percussion artist Harun Cura.
The event for 1st and 2nd graders started with finger game. Whole classes attended actively to the game accompanied by songs. One could tell from the eyes of our students how excited they were when "kudüm" instrument was introduced. Some students said their names in rhythm with kudüm. They recited salawat and sang chants with kudüm. They tried simple rhythm work. The program ended with one student playing kudüm and Harun Cura accompanying our student with bendir and sand a chant.
