"Modest You" Design And Parade Event

The Modest You event drew attention to individuals who dress modestly to their religious sensitivities, their rights to take place in every part of society, and their freedom to express themselves. The event concerned these areas to create awareness about the need to conduct sportive activities or choose a profession that will shape one's future without inhibiting the clothes which they prefer based on religious necessities and about the way our students or anyone else dress should not be an obstacle to being present in society. To raise awareness, to support productivity and to search for solutions, a competition was organized to identify the difficulties women experience, design clothes for women wearing head scarves and make suggestion. The priority of the competition was to provide a platform where students could demonstrate their originality, offer solutions, and combine those with their abilities. The event ended with the pre-selected design drawings sewn and presented.
