In the Footsteps of Mimar Sinan – Architectural Heritage Visit
A cultural and architectural visit was organized for Grade 10 students to examine Mimar Sinan’s works in Üsküdar, including Valide‑i Atik Complex, Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, and Şemsi Ahmed Paşa (Kuşkonmaz) Mosque.
Students conducted technical observations focusing on structural balance, light usage, ornamentation, and spatial design, integrating theoretical knowledge with on‑site analysis. This direct engagement with the city’s historical fabric contributed significantly to students’ aesthetic perspective and art history knowledge.
