Mehmet Akif Ersoy Poetry Museum Visit

Within the theme “How We Express Ourselves,” our Grade 1 students took part in an inspiring visit to the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Poetry Museum to explore the depth of words and emotions. During this special visit, students had the opportunity to closely examine works that reflect the life and intellectual world of Turkish National Poet, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, author of the Turkish National Anthem.
Throughout the visit, students observed how an individual can convey inner feelings, social values, and ideals through poetry. The narratives presented within the museum’s evocative atmosphere illustrated the expressive power of language and literature, helping students develop an early awareness of words as a meaningful tool for self‑expression.
Blending love of country with artistic expression, this multi‑layered educational experience enriched students’ cultural knowledge and supported their ability to reflect their own emotional world. This meaningful encounter, where national values met art, concluded as a memorable experience that left a lasting impression on students.
