OUR MAGNIFICENT AESTHETICS HIDDEN IN THE NOOKS
We visited the NOOK exhibition, which consists of objects reflecting the everyday life of Ottoman Women, with our 8-A and 8-B grade students. Consisting of more than 1200 special items, including bags, shoes, amulets, necklaces, theatre binoculars and hats, selected from the Yusuf İyilik collection, the exhibition felt like a panoramic show between today and the past. While visiting the exhibition, which includes works from the 17th to the 20th centuries, each of which reflects the fine taste of the multicultural texture of the Ottoman Empire, we regretfully observed that our taste, clothing, fashion and aesthetics are shallow and simple.
