Library Week & Meeting With The Publishers Event

As part of the 61st Library Week, NUN Middle School 8th-grade students gathered for the "Meet the Publishers" event. The event shared with students the various professions involved in the creation of a book and the big work done behind this journey. The world of publishing, extending from editing to graphic design, proofreading to printing, was explored from a fresh perspective for the students.
In this interactive event, students not only had the opportunity to ask their questions but also learned that books emerge from a multifaceted production process not limited to authorship alone. This allowed them to gain awareness about the unseen side of the creative journey.
The event also enabled students to develop skills such as group work, active listening, and effective communication. Familiarizing themselves firsthand with the dynamics of the publishing industry, students gained a holistic perspective on production processes while closely experiencing the value of effort and collaboration.
