Kut Al Amara Program

"If I were given the choice between hell and Kut (Kut Al Amara), I would gladly choose hell." - General Townshend (British Commander)
"108 years ago, Britain received two resounding slaps from the Turks: one in Çanakkale (Gallipoli) and second in Kut Al Amara (Siege of Kut). They never forgot either." - İlber Ortaylı
In commemoration of the 108th anniversary of the Kut Al Amara, a victory following the Gallipoli Victory resulted in the capture of the entire British Army and stands as a testament to the resilience and valor of the Ottoman forces, which is a remarkable triumph achieved by the Ottoman Empire said to be the Sick Man of Europe, during World War I, an event was organized by our 11th-grade students.
The event, planned and executed by our students, aimed to honor this glorious victory and pay tribute to its architect, Halil Kut Pasha, and all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Through this event, our students gained a deeper understanding of the significance and impact of the Kut Al Amare Victory on the course of World War I. The event served as a powerful platform for instilling in our young minds the importance of national values and fostering a deep sense of patriotism.
