We Hosted Author Özgür Aras Tüfek in “Book Concert” Event
We brought our students together with the leading children's writers of our country in order for them to gain the habit of reading and to reach a high-quality literacy identity. We combined the book with music and began to explore different ways of reading.
Author Özgür Aras Tüfek came together with our 6th graders at the “Book Concert” on Wednesday, December 11th. In our activity with the author of the book entitled Türkçenin Muhafızları-2 Simurg’a Yolculuk, the author read his favorite part of his book in company with cello. Afterwards, Özgür Aras Tüfek had a long interview with the children and talked about the subtleties of being an author and about reading culture. He answered our students’ curious questions. After the event, which ended with commemorative photographs, our students enjoyed being with the author of the book they read.
