Karagöz Hacivat Shadow Theatre
Within Ramadan celebrations, our school hosted a traditional Karagöz Hacivat theatre for our primary school students. Our students had fun watching this traditional game and learned an element of Turkish culture.
Our students followed with great interest the dialogues, entertaining scenes and exciting story between the lively characters of Karagöz and Hacivat throughout the play. Karagöz and Hacivat’s play is one of the most important examples of traditional Turkish art. The event not only introduced Turkish culture to our students in a fun and interactive way but also opened a new window into history and cultural understanding.
