Istanbul Technical University – Turkish Music State Conservatory Visit

To broaden their artistic perspectives and introduce them to the academic ecosystem of Turkish music, Grade 9 music students visited the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. The trip aimed to make the link between music theory and practice concrete. Students found the opportunity to see the classrooms and learn about the educational approach of the conservatory.
They observed instrument‑making workshops, following the artistic and technical journey from design to completion. By attending classes in instrument performance, voice, and musicology, they learned about the interdisciplinary structure of music education at the university level. A special moment of the program came when our student Fatma Şeyma K. accompanied an ITU violin instructor on piano in Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, showcasing her musicianship.
The visit also provided practical guidance on conservatory admissions and career pathways—supporting artistic productivity and a deeper appreciation of our musical heritage.
