Exploring the Core Elements of Storytelling: Writing Club

As part of Writing Club activities, students worked on the second week's title: “The Trigger and Conflict in a Story,” under the guidance of our teacher, Zahit Yılmaz. Students examined the elements that transform fictional writing into a compelling narrative by sustaining reader curiosity through the rising action and building toward a strong climax. By writing turning points, where characters’ goals collide with external circumstances or internal fears, students practiced constructing narrative tension and pivotal moments. Using these techniques, they explored how confronting characters with their limits deepens both the plot and the emotional arc of the storyline.
The workshop translated theoretical knowledge on sustaining reader curiosity into practical application, contributing significantly to students’ fiction writing techniques and narrative depth.
