In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors: Çanakkale History & Culture Trip
A two‑day visit to Çanakkale was organized for preparatory and Grade 9 students under the title “In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors.” Designed to reinforce historical awareness and examine national values on site, the program included guided visits to key strategic locations of the Çanakkale Campaign.
Students analyzed the conditions of the period by integrating theoretical historical knowledge with field observations, developing historical empathy through disciplined and structured inquiry. This field study meets social and cultural interaction with academic rigor. It is also significant in helping students experience national memory firsthand.
